Brant Animal Clinic Essential Services Update #2

April 6, 2020

As Ontario goes into further lockdown mode during this COVID health challenge we sincerely hope you, your loved ones and of course your pets are safe and healthy at home.

With Minister Doug Ford’s announcement Friday there have been further closures to business except those deemed Essential.   Veterinary Services continue to be deemed as an essential service and we have been asked to be available for Urgent Care Services.

We wanted to assure you that we will continue to be here for your pet’s health needs.  We have modified our services to help do our part to protect the public and our team while still offering care for pets.  The services we are providing through drop off/curbside service include:

a) Dispensing of Prescription Medications and Diets including Flea/Tick/Heartworm and Parasite Preventative medications.

b) Providing Treatments and Diagnostic Testing for Medical Illness for our pets

c) Surgical Services- We are performing surgeries that are medically urgent

d) Vaccinations

e) Dental Services- We are performing dental procedures that are medically urgent

*** At this time we are unable to provide less urgent services such as Nail Trims, Grooming, Orthopedic Certification Xrays, Boarding, Reproductive Services, General Wellness Check-Ups, Diet Consultations, Elective Surgeries (spay/neuter) and Behavioural Consultations.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter and we know if we all do our part we can help keep each other and our pets safe and healthy.

We would like to update you on evolving hospital policies. Due to concern regarding COVID-19, we have implemented “Concierge Service”. We ask you to call our office on arrival for your scheduled appointment and a team member will obtain history by phone. A team member will personally escort your pet in to be examined by the veterinarian. While your pet is with us we ask that you remain in your car. The veterinarian will consult with you by phone regarding the treatment plan and a team member will escort your pet outside. Payment will be made over the phone. If you are picking up medications or food, call on arrival and we will bring it to you. We love our clients, however, we are not allowing clients inside for the safety of both clients and our team members. We would like to reiterate that we are open and will continue providing the best medical care to your pet. We appreciate your understanding and trust in us to continue caring for your pets. Please call 905-336-4002 for details or with any questions or concerns!
