Love Your Pet Day is just around the corner: it’s coming up February 20 ^th ! Of course, we think that pets should feel loved every day. Our animal companions truly fulfill and enrich our lives, and help turn our houses into homes. Read on for some great ideas from a Burlington, ON vet on how to celebrate this special day.

Toys are a great gift for any pet. Stop by a local market or grocery store and pick up some new playthings for your furry pal! Then, indulge them with a fun play session. This is bound to put a smile on your face as well.

A yummy snack will also help your furry friend feel extra special. Just be sure to stick to safe options. Plain, cooked meat, fish, or poultry with the skin, bones, and fat removed is a good choice for both dogs and cats. Fluffy and Fido can also have some shredded deli meat, sodium-free broth, or store-bought treats.

Is your four-legged buddy overdue for an exam or vaccinations? This is a great reminder to make an appointment. After all, healthy pets are happy pets!

Our animal companions are much more comfortable when their fur is soft and clean. If it’s too cold to bathe Fido at home, book him an appointment at the doggy salon.
